Kirk's Castille Soap Kirks Castille soap is the traditional soap used to clean leather. Its inexpensive, and it really works. Used as the FIRST STEP in cleaning leather of all types. Use a bucket of HOT water, a sponge, and the castille soap. Get your sponge of cleaning rag nice and sudsy - rub on the saddle to get out dirt and old oils - rinse or wipe off soap with wet rag. Then re-condition using neatsfoot oil or a paste conditioner of your choice.. |
