Doma wither relief pad
A wither relief pad made of high density foam. Intended for use on top of a thin saddle pad, and is used under an english AP, jumping, close contact or dressage saddle. (basically, this pad will adjust a saddle that tips forward, and is pinching in the withers area.) Foam is wedge shaped in the withers area, so that it will lift up the front of a saddle, narrowing the saddle fit ONLY at the bottom of the gullet without pinching at the top of the saddle gullet. ***this is an improvement over many other "wither relief" pads that are of a uniform thickness- those types of pads are similar to trying to fix a poorly fitting shoe by wearing thicker socks - all they do is make the saddle fit even tighter, and can cause a fitting issue to become worse. ** this foam material is also trimmable with scissors to fit different shapes of saddles, or if you are compensating for an injury or some other issue you can cut the foam to a desired shape. the wedge is 1 inch thick at the bottom edge of the front of the pad, and it tapers to 3/8 inches at the top of the gullet and also is 3/8 inches thick at the rear end of the pad. Pad can be ordered in black or white color.
