MDC Comfort Stirrup
There are 2 models of the Intelligent Stirrup. The basic model, (The COMFORT STIRRUP) allows you to select 3 angle positions for your stirrup leathers and the foot pad is NOT hinged.
You can select 45 degrees, 90 degrees, or traditional.
90 degrees allows your stirrup leather to lay completely flat against your saddle, and 45 degrees will do the same thing if your leathers are stretched out (twisted) from using regular irons. The traditional position allows you to run your stirrup irons up.
The 45 and the 90 angle improves leg, calf and foot position, relieves pressure on hips, knees and ankles, as well as reducing leg burns.
The MDC Comfort Stirrup® has a traditional solid foot plate which many people who jump their horses prefer over the flexible foot plate of the Ultimate stirrup.
to detirmine your size, you should measure the width of the ball of your riding boot, plus 1 finger on each side.
MDC Comfort Stirrups® come in sizes 4 ¼", 4 ½" and 4 ¾". The foot pads on all the stirrups are GREY, not white - the photo is not quite correct.
